Students are able to meet with representatives from colleges, vocational schools, the military, and various career fields at their high school location. Visits are usually held in the College Career Information Center (Room 126) during the school day. Students with a valid Family Connection account are able to sign up to attend visits through their Family Connection account. Passes are required and students should follow the instructions during the visit sign up to print their pass. Staff signatures are required. Middleburry College (Middlebury, VT) is offering an all-expense paid Discover Middlebury visit program for outstanding students, October 6-8, 2019. This is an opportunity for an early introduction to a liberal arts and sciences college. Successful applicants are students who have strong academic records and a desire to take on new challenges after high school. High school seniors applying to Montgomery College are encouraged to apply during the 'Application Fee Waiver' season. October 1 through April 15. Student planning to transfer to a 4-year post-secondary institution after MC are encouraged to use ARTSYS as part of their college planning. ARTSYS is the State of Maryland Articulation Information website. ARTSYS shows which MC courses are recommended for transferring to specific Maryland colleges and universities.
Montgomery College (MC), supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced the Graduate and Transfer Science, Technology, Engineering & Math Talent Expansion Program (GT STEP). The program is designed to assist students who are majoring in STEM fields (biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, engineering, or math) in acquiring their AA degree and/or facilitating their transfer to a 4-year college or university.
