New MSDE Literacy Policy

Maryland has adopted a new PreK-Grade 3 Comprehensive Literacy Policy that will be fully implemented in the 2027-2028 school year. This new shift may impact your child's future academic success. It requires schools to intervene early and aggressively when students are not on track. Your involvement is essential.
