Greetings Magruder High School Parents and Guardians,

Last week, students in grades 9, 10, and 11 participated in online registration for their 2019-2020 courses. Students had an opportunity to meet with counselors to review their initial course selections. We encourage you to visit the online portal to view your student’s selection. You may access the online portal via the following URL: https://portal.mcpsmd.org Our academic goals include encouraging students to challenge themselves with higher-level courses throughout their high school career.
During February and March, as the registration and staffing season progresses, some courses may not be offered due to under enrollment. Counselors will contact students in advance if any changes are needed regarding availability of courses. You will receive a letter confirming course registration by the end of March 2019.
If you have any questions, please email Ms. Ellen Hudson, Assistant Principal, at Ellen_E_Hudson@mcpsmd.org or call your student’s counselor at 240-740-5560.

Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will be registering for their 2019-2020 courses during the week of February 4, 2019 through their social studies classes.  Counselors will meet directly with students on their caseload to assist with the online registration.  You may access the online portal via the following URL: https://portal.mcpsmd.org  Enter your MCPS username (your 6 digit MCPS student ID #) and password (the password you use to log into the computers at school).  Click on “Register for Next Year”.  Other resources include the Magruder Course Bulletin and the student registration card which are available on the Magruder website.  The MCPS Course Bulletin is available on the MCPS website.
