Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) Pathway Program
A first-of-its-kind partnership among Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery College, and the Universities at Shady Grove. ACES provides individualized coaching, scholarship opportunities, and career readiness programming for students who have been historically underrepresented in higher education, improving their ability to thrive in college and into a career.
*Students can only apply in 10th grade year of program and be committed to Montgomery College as a college option and onboarding process*
ACES seeks 10th grade students that meet one or more of the following criteria:
- First generation college student (neither parent/caregiver graduated from college in the United States)
- Student from a low-income household or receiving free or reduced meals
- Student receiving special education services (IEP) or a 504 plan
- A ward of the state/Student with foster parents
- Living in a single parent household
- An Emerging Multilingual Learner (EML or ESOL)
