Dance Placement Auditions SY26-27: Incoming 6th Graders and students new to LMS
Incoming 6th graders and 7th and 8th graders who are new to the school, and who have had previous dance training, have the opportunity to audition by learning a short dance and submitting a video. The dance combination can be found of the slideshow and is a combination of ballet and modern dance skills. The videos will be submitted on a google form. The students will be scored by each of the dance teachers. These scores will be compared to the current students as a way of ensuring the most appropriate placement based on their overall performance. If a student signs up for “MS Dance 1” the audition is not required. Students who do not audition in dance will have MS Dance 1 as their introductory course.
