8th Grade End of Year

8th Grade End-of-Year Reminders

8th Grade Promotion Ceremony - Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Northwest High School, located at 13501 Richter Farm Road Germantown, MD 20874.  In an effort to provide seating for all parents, we find it necessary to issue tickets for the promotion ceremony. In past years, the ceremony has been held at Kingsview (KVMS). The KVMS gym and the adjacent Germantown Community Center gym together have allowed the distribution of two (2) tickets to each student and the opportunity to obtain extra tickets through a lottery process. Due to Early Voting in the Primary Election scheduled during the month of June, we will not be able to use the Germantown community center gym. Therefore, the promotion ceremony will be held at the Northwest HS auditorium. Please note, due to the number of 8th grade students and the capacity of the NWHS auditorium, we can only issue two (2) tickets to each student this year. There are NO EXTRA TICKETS due to NWHS auditorium capacity.  We are excited to announce that the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be livestreamed via the Northwest Jag TV channel on YouTube! Please share the link with your family and friends: https://www.youtube.com/live/BEjH2jsFUJ8?si=FWP88Tszfc599LlJ
