Preparing for a Virtual Instruction
● MCPS will announce a shift to Virtual Instruction by noon the previous school day.
● If the announcement for a Virtual Instruction is made, students must take their Chromebook and charging cord home with them.
● If a student is missing a Chromebook or a charger they should use any available resources at home to connect with classes (phone, tablet, etc.).
● If you are using a phone, tablet, etc., be sure to download the Canvas Student app and Zoom app.
What does a virtual instruction schedule like?
● BBMS will operate according to the Two-Hour Delay Bell Schedule with school starting at 10:15 am.
● All seven classes will meet. Students must log into ALL of their Zoom classes. Attendance will be taken via Synergy. If a student is unable to log into a class, the student should email their
teacher about the issue.
● Students will log into their scheduled teachers’ Zoom during their assigned class period. Zoom links are located on their Canvas Page. If a student needs a link, they can also reach out to their grade level administrator or counselor (contact info here).
● MCPS will announce meal distribution sites for anyone wishing to get a grab-and-go meal(s).
