Online Registration is Active
Registration is for all children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026. For more information about eligibility guidelines, registration, or required documents to complete an application, visit the Kindergarten Enrollment - Montgomery County Public Schools, Rockville, MD | Montgomery County Public Schools | Rockville, MD
Early Entrance to Kindergarten (EEK)
Children who will turn 5 between September 2 and October 15 may be eligible for an Early Entrance to Kindergarten process. Children who are born after October 16 will not be eligible this school year. Please contact the school if your child may be eligible for EEK testing; you cannot register online.
Online Registration:
Go to your ParentVUE account (if you already have one), create a new ParentVUE account online, or obtain a paper registration packet. We strongly encourage all families to create a ParentVUE account, regardless of whether you register online or by paper, as ParentVUE is the primary way to access your child's records, grades, and school communications. When registering, be sure to select the 2026–2027 school year.
Paper forms:
MCPS will send us registration packets that you can pick up in the school office. You can register by paper after March 16, 2026.
You will want to start to collect documents for enrollment.
- Proof of residence (lease, property tax bill)
- Proof of birth (birth certificate, passport)
- ID for the parent enrolling the child
-
Health and immunization records (either a printout from your physician or the appropriate health forms) are required for your child to start school; however, these documents do not need to be submitted to complete registration at this time. The SR-6 form must be completed and signed by a physician.
Kindergarten registration packets will be available at the school soon. If you choose to complete the forms online, you will need to fill out the following forms:
- 560-24, New Student Enrollment Form 560-24.pdf (montgomeryschoolsmd.org)
- 565-1 Student Emergency Form 565-1.pdf (montgomeryschoolsmd.org)
- 345-17 MD State Pre-Kindergarten Experience Form 345-17.pdf (montgomeryschoolsmd.org)
Please note that as you fill out the registration form online or by paper, there are 3 questions about home language, and the impact of the survey must be understood. If a language other than English is indicated by 2 of the 3 questions, students will be assessed for English language support services. If they test into Emerging Multilingual Language services, it is mandated that this is continued until assessment releases them.
Please contact marjorie_e_jacobs@mcpsmd.org or Yang-Yang_Lin@mcpsmd.org with any questions about registration, Early Entrance to Kindergarten, or any other enrollment questions.
