GSCES Open House - Tuesday, November 11th
On Tuesday, November 11th, families are invited into GSCES to visit their child’s classroom and see what a typical school day looks like for them. Families can visit at any time between 9:00-11:00.
Individual Portrait Retake Day - November 13
You may have your portraits retaken on this day. If you choose to have your child’s portrait retaken, the entire portrait package must be returned. Please have your child bring the portrait package to the photographer on retake day. Click for more information.
Principal’s Tea and Family Workshop - November 11th
On the same day as Open House, we will also be hosting two Principal’s Tea and Family Workshops. These workshops are designed to inform you about how you can support your children at GSCES, while enjoying coffee, tea, and refreshments. Both workshops will begin at 9:00. Families can then visit their child’s classroom afterwards. If you are interested in attending, please complete one of the Google Forms below by November 5th!

Requesting a Chromebook for Home Use
If you need a Chromebook device for your student's schoolwork, you may request one from MCPS at no cost. Please fill out this form, and when the Chromebook arrives, it will be sent home with your child.
Less Phone Time = More Learning Time
MCPS will limit how personal mobile devices can be used during the school day. Limiting phone use during class helps students stay focused, engaged and better able to retain information. Learn more.
