RH Readers: Attention Rocky Hill Readers: We will be meeting Tuesday November 21st during lunches in the library. Bring your lunch to the media center-we'll eat as we plan. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please let Ms. Gramatges know. See you Tuesday at lunch!

MC Open for Lunch: The media center is open for lunch today! Grab a pass from the cafeteria, bring up your lunch and participate in our Mystery Monday activity. Hope to see you

Scholastic Book Fair Update: A BIG Thank You to everyone who helped make our Scholastic Fall Book Fair a success! We raised over $400.00 for the All for Books Program! Scholastic will match that amount so a total of $800.00 will buy books for schools and students that can't afford them. We look forward to seeing you at the spring fair in April!

Power of Sam Toy Drive: Our 5th Annual Power of Sam Toy Drive for Children's Hospital will be held the week of December 11th! Please consider picking up a small, inexpensive, toy we can give to the children who are having to spend their holidays in the hospital this year.

PE Cold Weather: If you go outside for PE, and it is cold, please make sure to have your sweats, hats, gloves, and coat if needed for class!!!!

Newspaper: Attention all newspaper staff. Your first article needs to be completed by Nov. 28th. reminder to all newspaper staff to get their first article completed.

Basketball: Basketball tryouts are quickly approaching! Do you have your paperwork turned in? You need a physical and a parent permission slip turned in to Ms. Brouillard by MONDAY, NOV. 27th! See the flyers around the school for the dates! Don't wait til the last minute

Student IDs and Photo Distribution/Picture Retake Day: Student IDs and Lifetouch Photos will be Distributed in Homeroom on Wednesday Nov. 22. Picture Retake Day- Lifetouch will be back for photo retakes on Thursday, November 30! New and absent students, please get your photo taken. Order forms are in the main office.

Green Team & Science Club: There will be no Green Team or Science Club meetings this week.

SGA: Any SGA members interested in helping with canned food drive at lunch needs to see Mr. Conley before Period 4 to get a pass. Students in SGA that want to assist with the canned food drive need to see Mr. Conley before PD 4.

Honors Band: Congratulations to the following musicians who were accepted into the MCPS West 7th and 8th Grade Honors Band: Ariana Covas, Sarah Tang, David Kang, Kristian Dell-Erba, Isaac Shin, Shayan Sobhani, Morgan Montgomery, Caleb Kim and Carson Switalski. Great work Wildcats!

Food Drive Update: With just 2 more days left to bring in those food items for the Food Drive 8th grade is in the lead with 403 items, 6th grade is second with 245 items and 7th grade has 48 items. Friday is your last day to bring in your food items.

Leo Club: Attention all Leo Club Members: Our next meeting will be on Thursday November 30th after school.

Lego Robotics: The Lego Robotics club will not meet this Wednesday. Any students who were planning on staying for that club will need to go home right after school.

Rec Xtra Book Wars: Attention all Book War Team Members: Our next meeting will be TODAY after school in the media center. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please let Ms. Gramatges know so that other arrangements can be made. See you this afternoon!

MC Open for Lunch: The media center is open for free choice lunch today! Grab a pass from the cafeteria, bring up your lunch and hang out with your friends! Play foosball, win a contest or two, play a game, or even read. Hope to see you there!

FCA Huddle: Today is the first FCA Huddle, please bring a friend and be ready to have fun! We will see you after school in room 180! The club will end in time for you to ride the activity bus home! See you there!!!

Model UN: Attention Model UN Members: There will be a meeting today after school in room 358. New members are still welcome to join. Please see Mrs. Fong if you have questions. See you there!

Wildcat Roar Fall Edition: The fall edition of the Wildcat Roar school newspaper is now available. You can find it on the Rocky Hill website and it was e-mailed to our families. There is also a copy posted in the cafeteria. Check it out.

SGA: Reminder the SGA will meet today after school in room 167.

FCA Huddle: On Wednesday the first meeting of the FCA Huddle will be here! Bring a friend, your appetite, we will have snacks, and bring a sense of adventure for the games. We look forward to seeing you there!!! You will be able to ride the activity bus home afterwards.

Food Drive Update: So far the 8th grade is leading the Food Drive with 234 items. 6th grade is second with 181 items and 7th grade is third with 28 items. Keep bringing in those items, 7th grade you have until Friday to beat 6th and 8th grade.

Food Drive Update: As of Friday afternoon 8th grade leads the food drive with a total of 188 items brought in, 6th grade is second with 112 items so far and 7th grade has 8 items. Remember you can bring in food through Friday, November 17.

Book Fair: Today's the last day to visit the Book Fair in the Media Center. It's only open until 10:30 so hurry in and purchase a book or two to read over the weekend!

Lily's Hope 5K: The Lily's Hope 5K will be held this Sunday November 12th at 9:00am in New Market, Maryland. All proceeds from the event go to help Lily in her battle against cancer. Please join Mr. Lucas and Mrs. Woodward and walk or run the 5 kilo. course this Sunday.

Book Fair Contest Winners: Congratulations to our book fair winners! The winners of the guessing game jars are Carlos Del Prete, Elijah Verzi, and Kenny Yuan! Come to the media center today to claim your delicious prize!

Rocky Hill Food Drive: After two days of the Rocky Hill Food Drive 8th grade is in the lead with 118 items, 6th grade is second with 86 items and 7th grade has brought in a total of 6 items. Remember you have until next Friday to bring in those food items.

Archery: The following students need to stop by Mr. Leck's room, room #164, to pick up their awards for the RHMS Intramural Archery Tournament.

  • Seventh Grade - 1st place: Ky George, 2nd place: Alex Castro, 3rd place: Anh Huynh.

NJHS & SGA Food Drive: Attention Wildcats! Leos, NJHS and SGA are excited to announce the beginning of our annual Food Drive. We will be collecting food from Nov. 8th - 17th. Please drop all donations in your World Studies class.

Book Fair All for Books Donation: Howdy, Pardners! A BIG THANKS to all who supported our All for Book donation drive. We raised $45.61! I bet you’ve been wondering which teacher will be receiving the cowpie to the face….. Well, we have a winner! Let’s take a moment to watch and see who that lucky teacher was! [VIDEO]Didn’t donate last week? That’s okay. You can still help out by participating in the lollipop pull at the book fair all this week. Hope to see you there!
