Yearbooks: Tuesday May 22nd, 2012, it is a period 5 day. The yearbooks will be here soon! Get yours before they are sold out. The final price for the yearbook is $30. Orders can be turned into the main office or Ms. Mahoney. Please make checks payable to Rocky Hill Middle School.
Cross Country/ Soccer/Field Hockey/ Football/Golf & Tennis: There will be a meeting for incoming 9th graders interested in cross country, boys & girls soccer, field hockey, football, golf, girl’s tennis and girl’s and girls’ volleyball. It will take place on Thursday, May 31st at 6:30 pm, in the auditorium, Clarksburg High School.
PE Will Power Fundraiser Game: The PE Department is selling ice cold water for 50 cents while supplies last! Money goes towards the will power fundraiser game. Also, we are selling willpower t-shirts for $10. See Ms. Tip or other PE teachers to purchase water or shirts!

Peer Tutoring: There will be peer tutoring after school today report to Ms. Odey’s room after the second bell.
D.C. Solar Race: This past Friday the D.C. area solar race was held at Howard University. Two hundred and thirty middle school students from Maryland, D.C., and Virginia raced solar powered vehicles that they designed and built.Ten students from Rocky Hill entered the race. The team of Collin Miller and Steven Underwood had the second fastest car in the race and brought home a very large trophy. Congratulations to Collin, Steven and all RHMS students that competed!

Leo’s Club: Leo’s will meet for the final time today to celebrate a great year and to complete Community Service Learning forms. Mrs. Kroll
National Junior Honor Society: The National Junior Honor Society would like to thank all of the rocky Hill community for their support for the 2012 Relay for Life. Our team set a goal of raising $1500 to donate to the organization. Thanks, to your support and the efforts of the NJHS members we were able to donate $2,451.69. We hope to stay involved with this event next year and look forward to your continued support.

Leo's Club: The Leos club final meeting is next Tuesday, May 22nd. We will be completing Community service forms.
SSL Opportunity: The LIONS club is looking for members to help out with Clarksburg Day, June 23rd from 11 – 4 p.m. Sign up with Mrs. Kroll. Also, we need Leo members who are interested in scooping ice cream at the Montgomery County Fair to help out the LIONS. The ice cream scooping date is Tuesday August 14th. Again, sign up with Mrs. Kroll.
Clarksburg Summer Basketball Tryouts: Attention all 8th grade girls going to CHS: Tryouts for the Clarksburg summer league basketball team will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd, Wednesday, May 30th, and Thursday, June 1st at the CHS main gym. No physicals are needed to participate in summer league, and attendance to all 3 tryout is expected. Paperwork can be picked up from the girls PE office if you are interested, or see Ms. Tippett or Ms. Brouillard if you have any questions.

Spring Choral Concert Choirs: Attention all Spring Choral concert Choirs, Mr. Wells would like to congratulated you and Mr. Heinneman for your fantastic performance last night at Clarksburg. He would like to send a special thank you to the Pop Choir for accompanying him with his “Soul Man” selection as well as the entire company for his retirement dedication it was truly amazing.
