SERT PSA: If MCPS shuts down all computers, individual printers, and accessories at the end of the academic day instead of waiting for the automated shut down we can help save a quarter of a million dollars a year.

Recycling PSA: Did you know that recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a 100 watt bulb for 20 hours, a computer for 3 hours or a TV for 2 hours? Recycle.

Basketball News: Mark your calendar for the next basketball game at home against Neelsville. Come out to watch the Rocky Hill men will take on the Neelsville Knights next Tuesday, January 23.

RH Readers: Attention Rocky Hill Readers: We will be meeting Tuesday, January 23rd during lunches in the library. THIS IS OUR LAST MEETING before your visits to the elementary schools-you must have your permission slip signed and turned in by the end of the day on the 23rd. Bring your lunch to the media center-we'll eat as we plan. If you missed the last meeting see me as soon as possible. You MUST attend this meeting to participate in the field trips. See you Tuesday at lunch!

MC Open for Lunch: The media center is open for Quiet lunch today! Eat your lunch in the cafeteria, grab a pass, and enjoy some quiet time in the media center.

Chess & Stem Class: Exciting News! Chess and STEM registration forms are now available in the main office! Pick up a form before school or today at lunch. The first Chess session begins next week on Wednesday, January 24.

Upcoming Basketball Games: We've got 2 big basketball games next week! The boys will play the Neelsville Knights on Tuesday & the girls play the Baker Bulldogs on Wednesday! Tickets will be sold at lunch each day & students must have a ride home by 4:30. Come out and cheer on your teams!!

Recycling PSA: Did you know that recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a 100 watt bulb for 20 hours, a computer for 3 hours or a tv for 2 hours? Recycle.

NJHS: The NJHS Officers meeting this Thursday is cancelled.

MC Open for Lunch: The media center is open for free choice lunch today! Eat your lunch, grab a pass, and hang out with your friends! Play foosball, win a contest or two, play a game, or even read. Hope to see you there!

Chess Club: Attention Chess Players! Be sure to pick up a registration form in the main office to play in the Chess tournament at Hallie Wells Middle School on Saturday, February 10.

Rocky Hill's Got Talent: Rocky Hill’s Got Talent is coming! Want to audition? Auditions will be held on February 1st, 6th and 13th. All details are posted on the board outside the cafeteria. We need 15 auditions scheduled or the talent show MAY be cancelled. Got questions? – see Ms. Belman in Room 376.

Yearbook Club: Yearbook Club will be meeting on Thursday January 18th in room 376 with Señora Belman.

Recycle for Sight: The RHMS Leo Club and Damascus Lions Club are happy to announce our newest community service project: Recycle for Sight. Throughout January and February, we will be collecting used prescription glasses. All donations can be placed in the collection box found on the counter in the main office. Any size, style and prescription will be gladly accepted! Your unwanted glasses will be given a second life and distributed world-wide to someone in need.

  • Wednesday, January 17th: Algebra Support, Math 7, IM Support, Math 8 Support, Lego Robotics Club and Model UN

Recycle for Sight: The Leo Club is now collecting used eyeglasses as part of our Recycle for Sight Program. Unwanted eyeglasses can be dropped off in the main office, just look for the official Lions Club collection box.

Honk Jr. Cast Party: The Honk Jr cast party for all cast and tech crew members is TODAY after school. The party will be in Mr. Heinemann's room from 3:10-4:20. Please make sure you have made transportation arrangements to be there.

Lady Wildcat Basketball: Congratulations to the Lady Wildcats who improved their record to 2-0 against a talented Hallie Wells Mustang team. Mia Smith led the team again with 20 points. Ke"Asia Ames, Alyssa Lee and Genevieve Gleason also scored. The team was buoyed defensively by Dinah Edwards and Abby Daily.

Spring Break Trip: Attention students going on the spring break trip to Europe with Ms. Bailey, We are meeting after school on Wednesday, Jan. 10 in room 366. We will talk about the upcoming trip to Rome and Paris. This meeting is only for students who have signed up for the trip.
