  • Evacuation 2/18

    I am writing to inform you that approximately 9:45am this morning, the fire alarm sounded and all Rocky Hill students and staff were evacuated from the building.The Montgomery County Fire Department (MCFD) responded and discovered a faulty sprinkler flow sensor due to the earlier burst water pipe.   • Burst Water Pipe Update 2/18/15

    At 7:15 a.m., due to a pipe that burst this morning, as students entered the building, all 6th and 7th  graders were sent to the gym and all 8th graders reported to the cafeteria.  All staff were assigned to the cafeteria and the gym to supervise the children. Click for more info.

  • Google Apps for Education is here!

    As part of the 21st Century Learning Spaces MCPS initiative, all Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) staff and students received a Google Apps for Education account. Students and staff are assigned secured accounts and are able to access their accounts through any web-enabled device using any mainstream web-browser. The assigned student and staff accounts enable document sharing, collaborative work, and assessment opportunities in this cloud-based platform. For MCPS, students and staff are assigned an “@mcpsmd.net” Gmail-like account. Click for more info.

  • MAEOE Certifies ROCKY HILL MIDDLE SCHOOL as Maryland Green School

    The Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) is pleased to announce that Rocky Hill Middle School has been certified as a 2014 Maryland Green School. Click for the complete article.

  • Academic Eligibility and Extracurricular Activities

    Students must maintain a 2.0 marking period average (MPA), with not more than one failing grade in the previous marking period, in order to participate in extracurricular activities during the next marking period. The MPA is not the same as the GPA. Click here for more info.
