Swim/Dive Team Fundraiser at Kentlands Panera: Monday, November 27
Tomorrow, Monday, November 27, our swim and dive team is sponsoring a fundraiser for athletics at Panera in the Kentlands
from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. All you have to do is mention Northwest to
the cashier, and our athletics program will receive a percentage of the
“Girl Up” Fundraiser at Kentlands Chipotle: Wednesday, November 29
This Wednesday, November 29, our “Girl Up” Club is sponsoring a fundraiser at Chipotle in the Kentlands from 5:00
pm to 9:00 pm. All you have to do is mention Northwest to the cashier,
and “Girl Up” will receive a percentage of the sale!
PTSA Staff Gift Wrap Event: Friday, December 15
Friday, December 15, the PTSA will be offering a gift wrapping service
to the wonderful staff at Northwest! Staff members bring their holiday
gifts, and the PTSA returns beautifully wrapped packages! As an added
bonus, the PTSA will have a table of cookies and other sweets for the
staff to enjoy. Please consider donating a couple dozen cookies,
cupcakes, brownies, or other sweet treat. Food donations may be dropped
off in the main office all day on Thursday, December 14, or before 8:00

Dropping Off Students in the Morning
you drive your child to school, please drop him or her off in the lower
parking lot by following the designated drop-off lanes around the
perimeter of the parking lot. Please do not drop off students on Great
Seneca Highway, Richter Farm Road, Queenstown Road or other roads near
the school, as this is both illegal and very dangerous.
Cap and Gown Fee
The graduation cap and gown price for this year is $52 until April 1. The fee can be paid online at www.balfour.com.

Start and End Dates for 2018-2019 School Year
this month the Montgomery County Board of Education voted to start
school next year on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, and the last day is
scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2019. As you are making plans for the
2018-2019 school year, please note that the 2018-2019 calendar includes a
