Winter Weather

With the cold, winter weather upon us, there is the possibility of school closures, school delays, or early dismissals. Click on this link to get more information when these weather events occur.

 Book Fair

The PTA Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the media center on Monday, November 12 through Friday, November 16. The fair will be open daily during school hours to students and their families. In addition, it will be open during parent/teacher conferences on November 12 and during International Night on November 15. Volunteers are needed! Click on the Book Fair sign-up genius to help out (even if only for a few hours).

International Night

International Night is coming! This year our annual event will be held on Thursday, November 15, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Come and help us celebrate our wonderful diversity. Food tasting for $5 a person is in the cafeteria from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. There will be a talent and fashion show in the gym from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. This year's theme is Reaching Goals...Together so come wearing your favorite soccer jersey or international wear. Please click on the sign-up genius to make a food donation. We hope to see you there!

Rockville High School IB Night

Rockville High School (RHS) will host an IB parent information meeting on Monday, January 14, 2019, at 7:00 pm, in the RHS auditorium. Information will be provided about the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

 Signs of Suicide®

A letter was sent home on Monday, October 22 to inform parents of an enhancement to the MCPS suicide prevention curriculum using the Signs of Suicide® (SOS®) Prevention Program. A copy of the letter is here in English and here in Spanish. In addition, here is information about the SOS® program .

 George B. Thomas Learning Academy

The George B. Thomas, Sr. Learning Academy works in partnership with Montgomery County Public Schools to address the academic needs of students by providing them with support on Saturdays. This program provides academic tutoring and instruction with certified teachers in a nurturing and supportive environment. For more information click here for English and here for Spanish.  Get Spirit Wear!

You can now order Wood Spirit Wear online here through September 25, 2018. These shorts/pants and shirts can be worn during the regular school day or during PE classes. (Purchase for PE classes is optional.) If you do not have access to a computer, you may purchase items through our financial specialist, Ms. Myrian Fuentes, in the main office.

 School Progress Report

The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) has posted the results of the 2017 Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC), and the High School Assessments on the Maryland Report Card ( website. The report provides state, county, and individual school performance data, as well as information on student attendance, high school graduation rates, and the professional qualifications of teachers at the state, district, and school levels for the 2016-2017 school year.

 MD Good Samaritan Law
