Mr. Craig Staton,

Originally from north New Jersey, just outside of New York City, I came to
Montgomery County 21 years ago to teach in MCPS. I’m a graduate of Bucknell
University (Go Bison!) and this will be my 6th year as principal of Julius West
Middle School. Whether as an administrator, mentor or coach, I love working with
kids of all ages both in and outside of school. My passion for education is driven
by my natural desire to be a contributor within a community. The international
culture at Julius West MS makes it a special place to be, which is why many
families move to the cluster because of what it offers. Everyday, I feel fortunate
to be part of a community with so many great students, staff, and parents. I am
truly looking forward to all the new faces and experiences this new school year
will bring!

Mrs. Edwina Kollo,

Assistant School Administrator
I am excited to join and serve the Julius West community as I enter into my 10th year as an educator and instructional leader in Montgomery County Public Schools. Raised in Petersburg and Chesterfield, VA, I attended Temple University and The Johns Hopkins University where I received degrees in Business Legal Studies and Teaching Secondary Math, respectively. I began teaching at Rosa Parks Middle School and continued on to Shady Grove Middle School where I have spent the last four years serving as the Math Content Specialist. My passion for public education is rooted in the power that fostering [genuine] relationships with and among students can change the trajectory of lives and communities. I value the richness of the student diversity here at Julius West and how the staff uses this to enrich students’ school experience — I look forward to being a part of this. I feel honored to have the opportunity to work for a dedicated staff and to continue the amazing work that is happening at Julius West this upcoming school year.

Mrs. Erin Martin,

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, I grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. I attended St. Mary's College of Maryland and the University of Phoenix where I earned an undergraduate degree in Piano Performance with a certification in music education and a graduate degree in Administration and Supervision, respectively. For the past 19 years, I have truly loved the opportunity to work in such a culturally diverse community such as Montgomery County, MD. I am excited to support our 7th grade students as they continue their middle school experience. Go, Jaguars!!!

Mrs. Allison Li,

Born in upstate New York, I lived in Japan and Korea before moving to Maryland. I attended the University of Maryland, College Park (go Terps!) where I earned an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and received a Master's degree in Education. My core values include equity, collaboration, relationships, and mastery level instruction. In my spare time, I love to rock climb and to spend time with my husband and daughter. I enjoy connecting with people and have a passion for education. I look forward to serving the students, staff, and community as the 8th-grade administrator this year! Julius West is simply the best.
