It's SUMMER!
TPMS Magnet Program
Summer Update
Hello Magnet Families!
"Time to Recharge and Get Ready"
Hello present, future, and, just-barely, past magnet families. This update is being emailed to all our magnet families from the 22-23 school-year as well as our new families for the upcoming 23-24 school year. If you are new to TPMS or new to the TPMS magnet family, WELCOME!
The 22-23 school year is in the books, and we are already hard at work planning for the 23-24 school year. We want to build on all the things that we loved about the TPMS magnet program and continue to find ways to improve it, and we want you to be a part of it.
If you aren't in our directory, please use this link to add your contact information:

A new magnet directory will be emailed out to all families by the end of June so that anyone who opts into the directory will be able to contact families near to where they live. This is great for organizing carpools, study groups, and social events.
At TPMS, the magnet program is not a "school-within a school". The TPMS Magnet program is PART of TPMS, it is part of what makes the entire school thrive, and the entire school is part of what makes the TPMS Magnet program work. Magnet students take classes with, and become friends with, students from the rest of the school, and we like to think that all students benefit from each other. And magnet families play an important part of school leadership.
If you have never been part of a PTSA (or if you have), please consider joining a PTSA Committee. (click link for more information). Your participation can help enrich, strengthen, and improve the school, not just for your own kids, but for everyone's. Many hands make for light work, so please click that link and find a way to help.
We are also looking for parents to help with very TPMS magnet-specific tasks. We are looking for magnet family volunteers to help integrate magnet families into the TPMS community, improve communication and involvement, and make the Magnet experience work for everyone. This can include running a list-serve, maintaining our magnet directory, planning events (like a summer magnet-family tour), and collecting parent voice. We ask that families who take on magnet-specific tasks ALSO participate a TPMS committee in some fashion.
If you are interested in volunteering to help with the magnet program, please complete THIS FORM.
