What is the PTSA?

The PTSA is a volunteer group where parents & caregivers, educators, students, and other citizens can play an active role in the SSIMS community. Our mission is to build a safe and supportive school community, celebrate our diversity and international curriculum, support teachers and staff, and strengthen connections between families and staff.

The SSIMS PTSA is an important and energetic part of the SSIMS community. We're committed to supporting every student, teacher, and staff member at our school so that all students have what they need to thrive and succeed.

How can I support the PTSA?

Whether you have time to volunteer, attend a meeting, serve in a leadership role, or simply become a member, there is a place for everyone in the PTSA. Every contribution helps strengthen our Jaguar community.

Donate to the annual fundraiser. The PTSA runs exclusively on donations. Your donation will help us create programs and events that are inclusive and welcoming to every family, fostering a sense of belonging and community.

Your donations will support:

• Staff appreciation events 
• Community-building events like World Culture Night 
• Grade-level activities like 6th grade Outdoor Education, a 7th grade SSL event, and 8th grade promotion 
• Classroom mini-grants for educational activities

Stay up to date on PTSA and SSIMS news

• Join the PTSA listserv at SSIMSptsa+subscribe@groups.io.   
• Attend PTSA meetings, which are generally held on the second Tuesday of the month.
