About Our School

Rosemont School Front

Welcome to Rosemont Elementary School, a vibrant learning community nestled on the quiet, sunny suburban street of Alden Avenue in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Established in 1965, Rosemont has been a cornerstone of the community for decades, fostering a love of learning and a spirit of curiosity in every student who walks through its doors.

Our school has evolved over the years, reflecting the growth and technological advancements of the 21st century. In 1995, Rosemont underwent a significant renovation, introducing modern amenities like a state-of-the-art computer network and a dedicated technology classroom. These updates marked the beginning of our journey into the digital age, ensuring that our students are equipped with the skills needed for future success.

In 2005, we expanded once again, adding a new wing and a gymnasium to our existing structure. This growth mirrors the expansion of our student body, which now includes approximately 500 students from PreK to fifth grade. We are proud to serve a culturally rich and diverse community, where students from various backgrounds come together to learn, grow, and thrive.

As part of the Gaithersburg Cluster, Rosemont Elementary collaborates closely with neighboring schools, including Gaithersburg, Goshen, Harriet Tubman, Laytonsville, Strawberry Knoll, Summit Hall, and Washington Grove Elementary Schools, as well as Gaithersburg Middle and Forest Oak Middle Schools. This strong network of schools ensures that our students receive a consistent and comprehensive education as they progress through their academic journey.

At Rosemont Elementary, we believe in nurturing not only academic excellence but also the social and emotional well-being of our students. Our dedicated staff is committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

We are more than just a school; we are a community. A place where new ideas flourish, diversity is celebrated, and every child is given the opportunity to shine.
