Dear Rosemont Families and Community,

Welcome back to a brand-new school year at Rosemont Elementary School! We hope your summer was filled with rest, joy, and special memories. As we prepare to launch an exciting year of learning and growth, we want to thank you for your continued partnership and support.

At Rosemont Elementary School, we are COMMITTED to Excellence for Every Learner, Every Day. Our mission and vision guide everything we do. Together, we will:

This year, we are also embracing a new focus on Unreasonable Hospitality—going above and beyond to make every child, family member, and staff member feel genuinely seen, valued, and welcomed. Whether it’s a warm greeting at the door, a personalized note home, or simply taking the time to listen, we are committed to building a school culture rooted in care, connection, and kindness.

We are thrilled to welcome our new Assistant Principal, Melissa Ritchie, who brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for student success. In addition, we welcome several new staff members who share our commitment to excellence, equity,  hospitality, and we are confident they will make meaningful contributions to our school community. Change of Dismissal? 

If you have a change in your child's dismissal plan, please complete the Change of Dismissal Google Form or download, print, and return this Change of Dismissal form to Rosemont. This helps us keep track of your child's safety and ensures they are dismissed according to your updated instructions. Thank you for your cooperation!

Rosemont's MealViewer

The Division of Food and Nutrition Services (DFNS) has made it easier to view student’s school menus. MCPS students, parents, and community members can now view school menus with MealViewer, providing increased access to:

• School specific menu offerings 

• Nutritional information for each meal

• View and filter by the top allergens

MealViewer can be accessed on a computer browser, through the MealViewer app on Android and iPhone, or using any browser on a smartphone. No sign-in or passwords are required to view menus. It is also possible (but not required) to rate food items, star favorite items, utilize a nutrition calculator, and create a profile. Check out Rosemont's menu today!
