  • The Extended Day Program for Algebra Support has already started. Those who were invited to participate, kindly report to Mrs. Rivera in room 256 after-school every Tuesday and Thursday. Bus transportation is available to take you home.

  • Auditions for the Frost school mascot will be held on Wednesday, December 11, from 3:15 to 4:15, in the cafeteria. Students will be expected to wear the eagle mascot head and perform a series of moves and tasks. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Two students will be selected to serve as the Frost mascot. The mascot expectations and selection criteria may be obtained from the after school activity board located in the main lobby.   • The turkey trot! That's right-- it's time for the annual RFMS Turkey Trot!  The turkey trot will be held on Friday, November 22nd during school.  Our goal is to bring in $3500 in cash and 3000 cans to your PE Teacher for the City of Rockville Holiday Food Drive.  If you are interested in running sign up for the run with your PE teacher.

The World Kindness Movement was first launched in 1998, and has been going strong ever since.  It is not affiliated with any religious or political movements. Countries like Australia, Thailand, and the United States have joined together to create a kinder world. As Wayne Dyer says: When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind. Think about today and what you can do to show kindness. Hold the door for someone, ask someone about his or her day, or just smile in the hallways.

  • Can you imagine spending Halloween without being able to devour your favorite candy? Perhaps you didn't have as many trick-or-treaters as you anticipated or you got a ton of candy on Halloween: donate your excess candy to Treats for Troops! Treats for Troops is a national organization that provides treats to soldiers overseas and they are looking for donations. SGA students will be standing in the main hall before school this week to collect your candy donations. Please see Mrs. Coon if you have any questions!

Join us for an amazing trip to Quebec, Canada this February! We'll do all of the things you just heard, plus comedy improv, living history activities, snow-tubing and much, much more! You don't have to take French to travel with us, but you'll probably learn some while you're there. Parent interest meetings are every Thursday night at 6 pm. The two nights of clinics will lead to a performance as the opening act for our fall musical production of High School Musical on Saturday, November 2nd.   • The first annual Wootton High School Vocal Music JAMboree invites students ages 8to 15 to come to Wootton and learn a current popular vocal arrangement in acappella, and show choir styles from Wootton vocal music students.  We hope it can be a great opportunity for our feeder students to get to know the Choral program at Wootton and have a chance to meet and sing with high school students. The two nights of clinics will lead to a performance as the opening act for our fall musical production of High School Musical on Saturday, November 2nd. The flyer and registration forms are available in music rooms 232 and 233. The registration deadline is October 24th and it's first come first serve. Space is limited.

  • Attention all students interested in joining the Wootton HIgh School Poms Team: The clinics will be held on Wednesday October 2nd, and Thursday October 3rd in the Wooton cafeteria. Participants will get the chance to perform at the Wootton Varsity Football Game on October 4th at 6:15 pm. The fee is forty five dollars per participant.   • Cluster Night is October 4th at 6:30 PM!  We hope all the Wootton Cluster schools will come out and support Wootton in a battle against the BCC Barons.  The Pee Wee Poms will perform prior to the game and there will be lots of food and some free giveaways too.   • A free volleyball clinic will be held on Saturday, October 19th in the Wootton Main Gym for boys and girls grades five through eight who would like to learn some volleyball. The clinic will start at 10:00 A.M. and end at noon. All levels and abilities may participate. Current Wootton volleyball players will be there to help you learn the basics of volleyball. Players will then be grouped by skill level for some game play.  Please register in advance by emailing Coach Mary at mary.malinauskas@mcpsmd.net. For safety, space will be limited to forty players.
