Tracks Yearbook Archives

Yearbook at Quince Orchard High School has noticeably evolved and upgraded over the years. From the very first yearbook in 1989, which had limited color pages, to the yearbook for the 2006-2007 school year with full color, Tracks' changes are visible. 1989 Cover1989 – A First Class Opening 

The Quince Orchard High School, Gaithersburg, Maryland, 1989 first edition of Tracks was printed by Hunter Publishing Company in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 750 copies at trim size of 9 by 12, with 248 pages. Pages 1-32 and 113-128 were printed on 80 pound gloss enamel with process color photography. Pages 33-112 and 129-248 were printed on 80 pound dull enamel.

1990 – On the Right Track 1990 

The Quince Orchard High School 1990 volume of Tracks was lithographed by Hunter Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 950 copies at a trim size of 9x12 with 280 pages. The cover was lithographed with 5 applied colors and laminated. Gloss enamel paper was used for pages 1-32 and 65-80; dull enamel was used for pages 33-64 and 81-280.

1991  1991 – Breaking the Rules 

The Quince Orchard High School 1990 volume of Tracks was lithographed by Hunter Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 970 copies at trim size 9 x 12 with 288 pages of 80 lb. gloss enamel paper and 32 pages of process color photography. The base ink was black. Segall-Majestic in Baltimore was the photographer.

 1992 – It’s in Our Hands  1992
The Quince Orchard High School 1992 volume of Tracks was lithographed by Hunter Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 850 copies at trim size 9 x 12 with 292 pages of 80 lb. gloss enamel paper and 39 pages of process color photography.

1993  1993 – Get Real 

The Quince Orchard High School 1993 volume 5 of Tracks was printed by Hunter Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 1000 copies, with 308 pages with 32 pages of processed color and 36 spot color. The trim size for the 1993 volume was 9 x 12 with 80 lb gloss enamel paper.

 1994 – In the Spotlight  1994
The Quince Orchard High School 1994 volume 6 of Tracks was printed by Hunter Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 950 copies at trim size 9 x 12 with 304 pages of 80 lb gloss enamel paper and 40 pages of process color photography.

1995  1995 – Take a Good Look 

The Quince Orchard High School 1995 volume 7 of Tracks was printed by Hunter Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 1000 copies at trim size 9 x 12 with 296 pages of 80 pound gloss enamel paper and 48 pages of process color photography.

 1996 – Unstoppable 1996
Volume 8 of Tracks was printed in Charlotte, North Carolina by Delmar Publishing. The press run was 900 copies at trim size 9 x 12 with 296 pages of 100 pound gloss enamel paper. There were 42 pages of color photos and spot color.

19971997 – Bursting with Change  

Tracks Volume 9, Bursting with Change, was published by Jostens Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 900 copies at trim size 9 x 12 with 284 pages of 80 pounds of gloss enamel paper. There were 63 pages of color photographs and 221 pages of black and white photographs.

1998 – Strength in Numbers 1998 
Tracks Volume 10, Strength In Numbers, was published by Jostens Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 900 copies at trim size 9x12 with 296 pages of 80 pound gloss enamel paper. There were 50 pages of color photographs and 246 pages of black and white photographs.

1999 1999 – Nature of the Beast  

Tracks Volume 11, Nature of the Beast, was published by Jostens Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The press run was 850 copies at trim size 9x12 with 328 pages of 80 pound gloss enamel paper. There were 54 pages of color photographs and 274 pages of black and white photographs.

2000 – Recorded Live 2000 
Jostens Publishing Company at 2505 Empire Drive, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27113, printed 850 copies of Tracks, volume 12. "Recorded live" is 356 pages at a trim size of 9x12 and sold for $55 increasing throughout the year. There are 56 pages of color and 300 pages of black and white which printed on gloss enamel paper.

2001 2001 – One Way or Another  
Jostens Publishing Company at 2505 Empire Drive, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27113, printed 850 copies of Tracks, volume 13. "One Way or Another" is 356 pages at a trim size of 9x12 and sold for $55 increasing throughout the year. There are 77 pages of color and 279 pages of black and white which were printed on gloss enamel paper.

2002 – Simplified 2002 


Walswroth Publishing Company at 306 North Kansas Avenue, Marceline, Missouri 64658 printed 800 copies of Tracks, Volume 14. "Simplified" is 346 at a trim size of 9x12 and sold for $58 increasing throughout the year. There are 80 pages of four-color, 64 pages of spot-color and 204 pages of black and white, which were printed on Monarch Gloss #80.

2003 – Definition 

2003Walsworth Company at 306 North Kansas Avenue, Marceline, Missouri 64658, printed 800 copies of Tracks, Volume 15. Definition is 350 pages at a trim size of 9x12 and sold for $58 increasing to $70. There are 79 pages of four color and 271 pages of black and white.

2004 – Any Questions? 

2004 


Walsworth Company at 306 North Kansas Avenue, Marceline, Missouri 64658, printed 800 copies of Tracks, Volume 16. Any Questions? is 368 pages at a trim size of 9x12 and sold for $60 increasing to $65 then $75 at distribution. There are 129 pages of four color and 240 pages of black and white, which were printed on #80 Legend Gloss.

2005 – Gimme Five 

2005 

Walsworth Company at 306 North Kansas Avenue, Marceline, Missouri 64658, printed 800 copies of Tracks, Volume 17. gimme five is 380 pages at a trim size of 9 X 12 and sold for $62 to $70 then $75 at distribution. There are 142 pages of four color and 193 pages of black and white, which were printed on #100 Legend Gloss.

2006 – So Much... 

2006 


Walsworth Publishing Company at 306 North Kansas Avenue, Marceline, Missouri 64658, printed 750 copies of Tracks, Volume 18. Tracks was produced using Adobe InDesign CS 3.0.1 and Adobe Photoshop 6.0. So much... is 360 pages in four-color and sold for $68 then $75 at distribution. Blanton Studios at 15720 Crabbs Way, Rockville, Maryland 20855, was responsible for most of the photography that appears throughout the book.

2007 – Same Difference 

2007 

Tracks, Volume 19, was published by Walsworth Printers at 306 North Kansas Avenue, Marceline, Missouri 64658. Adobe InDesign CS 3.0.1 and PhotoShop CS2 were used to design the layouts. The 368 page 9 X 12 book was all color and developed around the theme of Same Difference. Same Difference covers events between May 2006 to March 2007. The spring magazine, Simply Similar cover events in March, and is included with every book at no additional cost to students. The book’s sale price was $68 August through September, $70 October to April, and $75 April through May.

2008 - Intertwined 

2008 

Tracks, Volume 20, was published by Walsworth Printers at 306 North Kansas Avenue, Marceline, Missouri 64658. Adobe InDesign CS and PhotoShop CS2 were used to design the layouts. The 346 page 9 x 12 book was all color and developed around the theme of Intertwined. The book covered events between May 2007 and March 2008. The spring magazine supplement, Interphase, covered events in March and early April, and was included with every book at no additional cost to students. The spring magazine was printed by Peake Delancey Printers at 2500 Schuster Drive, Cheverly, MD 20871. Tracks' sale price was $68 August through September, $70 October to April, and $75 April through May.

2009 - Wired

Tracks, Volume 21, was published by Walsworth Printers at 306 North Kansas Avenue, Marceline, Missouri 64658. Adobe InDesign CS3 5.0 and Adobe Photoshop CS3 10.0 were used to design the layouts. The 360 page 9 x 12 book was all color and developed around the theme of Wired. The book covered events between May 2008 and March 2009. Tracks' sale price was $70 and increased to $75.

Tracks, Volume 22, was published by Walsworth Printers at 306 North Kansas Avenue, Marceline, Missouri 64658. Adobe InDesign CS3 5.0 and Adobe Photoshop CS3 10.0 were used to design the layouts. The 360 page 12 x 9 shortbound book was all color and developed around the theme, something completely different. The book covered events between May 2009 and March 2010. Tracks' sale prices were $70, $75 and $80.

The 352 page 9 x 12 book was all color and developed around the theme of essentially. The book covered events between May 2010 and March 2011. Tracks' sale prices were $70, $75, and $80.
