AP Exams - ALL the Info
We are down to 27 school days until AP Exams begin!
Some important information that all students and caregivers need to know about AP exams in May.
NO Cell phones, Smart watches, etc
- Cell phones, smart watches and other electronic technology are NOT allowed in the testing rooms. Students can leave them turned off in their bags in the front / back of the test room, but it is preferred they do not bring them to the testing center at all.
- If their cell phone rings or an alarm goes off during the exam, their bag with the phone will be removed from the test room. If they are found with a cell phone on their person, whether during the exam, during breaks, or in the bathroom, their exam will be invalidated and they could be responsible for invalidating the exam scores for everyone in that room.
- Leave the devices at home.
MUST BRING - Charged Chromebook; SHOULD BRING - Charger
- All students will take AP exams on their school chromebook. If they have not received a school chromebook from QO, they need to go to the media center this week to have one issued to them.
- Please charge your chromebook the day before your exam(s) and bring a charger to the exam site just in case.
NO Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, McDonald’s, etc
- No food or drink will be allowed in the testing rooms. The only exception is students who have accommodations for this. If a student is bringing a drink for an accommodation, please bring it in a clear plastic water bottle where we can see what is inside.
NO Opaque Water Bottles
- No metal or opaque plastic water bottles are allowed in the test rooms. You must bring a plastic water bottle that is clear (can have a color tint). We must be able to see the liquid in the water bottle.
What to do if you are sick day of an exam?
- If you are sick and cannot take your exam, immediately contact Chris Campbell at Christopher_G_Campbell@mcpsmd.org and I will schedule you for the late exam.
AP Exam Snacks
We will provide snacks (8 oz water bottle, fruit snacks, and either Cheez-It’s or Goldfish) to students during the exam break. We need families to donate snacks for our AP exams. We have created a Sign Up Genius for volunteers to bring snacks. If you are able to purchase and bring 8 oz water bottles, fruit snacks, and / or Cheez-It’s or Goldfish, please sign up. We need them delivered by April 15th and email Christopher_G_Campbell@mcpsmd.org to coordinate delivery - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0B4CA8A728A0F49-60219313-apexams#/
