Community Day of Service

When: Tuesday, November 22, 2022

Description:

Pyle Middle School will kick off our second annual Community Day of Service on the half-day before Thanksgiving! Throughout the morning, staff and students will learn about local charitable organizations and perform tasks within the classroom to benefit our community.

We are excited to resume this tradition at Pyle now that school is back to normal. We know that when students get involved in community service, they not only help others — they develop empathy, expand their worldview, and see how their actions can have a positive impact. They also have an opportunity to experience how what they learn in school applies to the real world, reinvigorating their passion for learning.

Below, you will find a list of organizations and activities students will engage with as well as a list of items we are collecting for donations. Students will follow their regular half-day schedule for an ODD day (listed below). Each department has selected and planned out an activity for students. Please consult your child’s schedule to find out which activities they will participate in.

Thank you for your support in making this a rewarding experience for our students and others!

Period 3 – 8:55 - 9:55 (60 min)
