Research Tips
Know your keywords
Keywords are the most important words in your Inquiry questions. When doing research, you should identify your keywords, then look for them in your resources.
Be "flexible" with your keywords
Sometimes the resources that you use don't use the keywords in your questions. Be flexible! Think of synonyms (words that have the same meaning) for your keywords. Here are some ideas that might help you.

Use text features
Why read a whole book or website if you don't have to? When researching with a book, skim the table of contents and the index to look for keywords or their synonyms. Then go to those pages to scan the information for answers to your questions. If your book does not have a table of contents or index, skim the pages for headings. When reading a website, skim the headings to find a section that might answer your questions.
