Pre-IB 9th grade English (only)
The project is fairly simple: students will have to select one book from Modern Library's list of the 100 greatest novels of the 20th century or New York Times' list of the 100 greatest books of the 21st century and have it read by the first day of school (Tuesday, August 25th). Upon our return to school, students will have a choice of activities to respond to the text. If you're having trouble selecting a book to read, please reach out to Mr. Hensley at luke.hensley@mcpsmd.net.

To help keep your math skills sharp and ensure you are fully prepared for the upcoming school year, here are you summer math assignment. This assignment is designed to review essential concepts and give you a strong head start when classes resume. All assignments will be collected upon your return in the fall.

WORLD LANGUAGES _________________
For World Languages, the most important thing is that you PRACTICE THE LANGUAGE! If you have friends or family who speak the language you are studying, take advantage and make a point of speaking with them in Spanish, French, or ASL. Watch TV or movies, or listen to music or podcasts in the language you are studying. Read news or literature in the language you are studying. If you want some more structured practice, there are some options listed here.
