Rising MCPS Grade 1 through 5 students are invited to apply for the MCPS smART Summer program starting at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 11. Registration sections will be closed as they reach capacity. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The MCPS smART Summer Program is an art and music camp where students work with MCPS art and music educators and Summer RISE high school students to expand their arts knowledge and skills. New this year, students will receive instruction in both art and music each day.
Rising Grade 4 and 5 students, who are currently enrolled in their respective school’s instrumental music program are invited to apply for the instrumental music camp. Students will spend each day expanding their knowledge of and skills on their instrument with MCPS instrumental music teachers and Summer RISE high school students.
The smARTSummer program will take place at Montgomery Blair High School from July 15th to July 24th 9:00am to 3:00pm. Before and aftercare is available for an additional cost.
Montgomery Blair High School is located at 51 University Blvd E, Silver Spring, MD 20901.

Los estudiantes entrantes de MCPS de grados 1 a 5 están invitados a postularse para el programa de verano smART de MCPS a partir de las 3 p.m. el lunes 11 de marzo. Las secciones de inscripción se cerrarán a medida que alcancen su capacidad. La inscripción se realiza por orden de llegada.
El programa de verano smART de MCPS es un campamento de arte y música donde los estudiantes trabajan con educadores de arte y música de MCPS y estudiantes de secundaria Summer RISE para ampliar sus conocimientos y habilidades artísticas. Como novedad este año, los estudiantes recibirán instrucción tanto en arte como en música todos los días.
Los estudiantes de cuarto y quinto grado que actualmente están inscritos en el programa de música instrumental de su escuela respectiva están invitados a postularse para el campamento de música instrumental. Los estudiantes pasarán cada día ampliando sus conocimientos y habilidades en su instrumento con maestros de música instrumental de MCPS y estudiantes de secundaria Summer RISE.
El programa smARTSummer se llevará a cabo en Montgomery Blair High School del 15 al 24 de julio de 9:00 am a 3:00 pm. El cuidado antes y después está disponible por un costo adicional.
