Per Maryland State Department of Education regulations, to be eligible to enter kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year, children must be five years of age by September 1, 2026.

Applications for early entrance to kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year will be accepted from February 17 through June 30, 2026.
