Gaithersburg Middle School

MCPS Board of Education approved an Inclement Weather Virtual Instruction plan for students on snow days for the remainder of the school year. Students will access instruction from home when the Montgomery County Public Schools System calls for snow days - Code Purple.

During inclement weather, MCPS will shift to a 2-hour delay class schedule on snow days. See the GMS bell schedule below...

Maryland State Department of Education Guidelines Require the following:

• A minimum of four hours of synchronous instruction 
• Attendance taken
• Opportunities for students to make up work missed

GMS students should log into the Canvas page for each of their class periods and click on the zoom link to join their class at the appropriate time.
