Booked For the Summer MCPS Edition
Booked for the Summer MCPS Edition
Dear MCPS Students, Staff, and Families,
As the final bells ring and we close the chapter on another
productive school year, I want to share my deepest gratitude
for your hard work, resilience, and commitment to excellence.
Whether you are a student celebrating a year of growth, a
teacher reflecting on your impact, or a parent supporting it all
behind the scenes. Congratulations on a job well done.
Summer in Montgomery County is more than just a break from
the classroom; it is a vital season for reflection and renewal. It is
a time to trade the structured school day for the "joyful
curiosity" that defines a lifelong learner.
This year’s Booked for the Summer guide is your roadmap to
staying connected and engaged. We have curated a wealth of
resources to ensure that every student has the opportunity to
thrive during the "bridge" months between June and August.
As you head into the break, my hope is that you find time to
slow down and recharge. Read a book that challenges your
perspective, master a new skill that sparks your interest, and
most importantly, enjoy the company of family and friends.
We are already hard at work preparing for your return in
August. Until then, stay safe, stay curious, and have a wonderful
summer.
In partnership,
Thomas W. Taylor, Ed.D. Superintendent of Schools
