Juliana Morgan- ELD Seminar 1 and 2, English 11, English 12 Juliana_D_Morgan@mcpsmd.org

For 17 amazing years, I had the joy of teaching Spanish—a role that let me share my love for language, culture, and connection. Over those years, I built countless relationships, learned as much as I taught, and watched my students grow in ways that inspired me every day. Eventually, I felt a gentle nudge toward something new. I wasn’t ready to step away from the classroom, but I was prepared for a new kind of challenge. That’s when I transitioned into teaching English Language Development (ELD)—and I’ve never looked back. To me, language is so much more than vocabulary and grammar. It’s a bridge between cultures. It opens doors, creates understanding, and brings people together. Helping students build that bridge—whether they’re learning English or Spanish—has been one of the most meaningful parts of my journey as an educator. This new chapter is all about growth, courage, and connection.
