MCAP Family Letter (Posted 5/1/2026)

It's that time of year again! We are gearing up for the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP), and we want to make sure the experience is as smooth and stress-free as possible for our students.

We know that testing can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming, so we are asking for your help in creating a calm, "ready-to-go" environment for our kids. You can help them feel their best by:

Charging Up: Remind them to plug in their MCPS Chromebook every night. Bringing a fully charged device (and headphones!) is the best way to avoid morning stress.

Fueling Up: A little extra sleep and a good breakfast go a long way in helping them stay focused and energized.

Prompt Arrivals: Arriving on time helps them settle in comfortably before the morning bells and testing begin.

Our students have worked incredibly hard this year, and we just want them to have the opportunity to show what they know. Please take a moment to look over the full FY 26' BBMS MCAP Family Letter below for the specific dates and schedule.

Thank you for always being such a supportive part of the Banneker community. We truly appreciate you!
