Donate Pennies for Patients Starting February 2, 2018
"We'll Change Cancer!" the entire school shouted as we launched our fundraiser for people who have leukemia or lymphoma. Starting February 2, we are collecting loose change, money we earn from chores or jobs and money we earn from selling candy-grams. All of it will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Woodlin Elementary School has donated $10,000 over the last 12 years to this cause. Go, Wizards!

Cards for Hospitalized Kids:
"Thank you all for making the cards for hospitalized kids a huge success! All of the cards were sent and I know that you all made someone's holiday extra special!" -- Ms. Manganelli
At the December 1 Student Council meeting, council representatives spoke about the kindness that Woodlin children can show to children who are in the hospital due to serious illness -- children who will not be able to be at home for the holidays. The Student Council sponsored an effort to get students to make home-made holiday greeting cards; then Ms. Manganelli sent them, through a national organization, to children in hospitals. Manna Food Drive:
Congratulations to our students for raising more than 30 boxes of food for the Manna Food Drive. This will help families in our neighborhoods who need it.
Woodlin Spirit Fridays:
Every Friday, please wear blue and white or your Woodlin t-shirt or sweatshirt -- any spiritwear -- to show we are all together as one community. Go Wizards!
About Student Council:
One representative from each class in each grade level participates in student council. Fifth grade leaders are: president, vice president, and secretary.
Please contact Ms. Roseman or Ms. Manganelli for more information about Student Council programs.
