Attention All Alumni!
October, 2007 - Some Walter Johnson alumni have reported receiving an email from
join-us-today@alumniarchive.net announcing a "New Walter Johnson High School Alumni Archive". The advertised site is a
commercial competitor of Classmates.Com and is in no way affiliated with nor sanctioned by Montgomery County Public Schools
or Walter Johnson High School.
PLEASE take a minute to review the "WJ Fund Raising Page" for some easy and inexpensive ways you
can help current WJ students!
Looking for old yearbooks?
WJ recently partnered with familyhistorysites.com to distribute the few surplus yearbooks owned by the school. If you are interested in purchasing old yearbooks, click here to see if any are available from the years you are interested in.
Updating Your Information
Go to the class list for the year you graduated from WJ and use the electronic form that appears
where it says "Click here to submit an address change or provide an e-mail address". It is important that you use
the form in the correct year so that if there is a reunion being planned the information will go to the reunion organizers
if they have made arrangements with us to receive it. Please do not use the link at the bottom of this page that says,
"e-mail us your content information" or the "e-mail feedback" link in the "Email/Listserv" section of the site to submit
address updates.
The electronic form will ask you for home and work phone #'s. These are NEVER posted on the website.
The information is collected to be passed on to reunion organizers. WJ's alumni database is not sold to any 3rd
party.
Address changes may take a few days to process so please be patient and do not submit multiple requests.
If after 10 days your address has not been updated you can try again.

ATTENTION REUNION ORGANIZERS
The WJ Website is available for posting your reunion news and helping locate classmates. The class lists
posted on this website contain snail mail and e-mail addresses. However, the school also has a database of additional
information which is not available on the web. If you are organizing a class reunion and would like to see the available
data please e-mail us.
We want to work with you to ensure maximum attendance at your events!
ABOUT REUNIONS
WJ doesn't have a formal alumni association so each class organizes its own events. Check this page for
your class year, listed to the left, for reunion information. If nothing has been posted it means we haven't been notified
about an event. But, this doesn't necessarily mean that nothing is being planned.
WHY WILDCATS INSTEAD OF SPARTANS?
Many graduates prior to 1988 have asked why the school mascot changed from the Spartan to the
Wildcat. The Wildcat was adopted by WJ as part of the "merger politics" negotiated when Woodward HS closed its doors. WJ
kept their fight song and the Green and White but the Spartan gave way to the Wildcat.
If you are a WJ grad interested in having your class news posted on the WJ Web Page
e-mail us your content
information.
