Rock the Block
Our Annual Rock the Block celebration will take place on Saturday, May 17th, from 12–3 PM! This event is a celebration of our students, staff, and community as we wrap up another successful school year. It’s a chance for everyone to come together, enjoy exciting activities, and celebrate the progress and unity of our school and community. This free event will feature exciting activities, including a dunk tank, soccer, an inflatable obstacle course, delicious food, and opportunities to connect with our amazing community partners. Students, families, and staff are all invited to join in the fun and celebrate the incredible achievements of this year. We’d love for staff and community groups to get involved! If you or your organization would like to participate—whether by hosting a table, running a fundraiser, or organizing an interactive activity—please contact Kristina Smyrk (Kristina_A_Smyrk@mcpsmd.org). Let’s make this a fantastic event for our students and community! FLYER

Montgomery County Career Advisory Program (MoCo CAP)
At WMHS, we are proud to partner with the Montgomery County Career Advising Program (MoCo CAP) to empower students in planning their futures. Through this initiative, we encourage students to engage in early career conversations, helping them explore their interests, identify opportunities, and gain a clearer understanding of the steps they need to take to achieve their goals. These conversations are vital in building confidence and setting a foundation for success beyond high school. Together, we aim to guide students toward informed decisions and meaningful career pathways. Please email Diana Silva for more information or questions regarding this program.
