Well-Designed Investigation Project Packet 2016-2017
We have recently entered into a partnership with a clothing company to provide you with reasonably priced Sligo MS gear. Note from the PE Department: It is required for students to change their clothing for PE class.
MCPS has developed training for all volunteers in the district to learn about recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect.
Mr. Phil Andrews, the Director of Crime Prevention Initiatives for the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office, met with all of our Sligo MS students to expose them to a new, proactive program called “Stop the Bully."
Three times a year in the media
center, we are showing a curriculum related movie. All students who attend receive (at least one) free

Junior Achievement's purpose is to bring financial literacy education into the classroom. We
are seeking adult volunteers to teach pre-developed, interactive lessons about
goal-setting, budgeting, insurance and credit to our sixth graders during their
social studies classes.
