Attention astronomers and star watchers! The Izaak Walton League is hosting astronomers from the National Capital Astronomers for a star party! Yup. Super cool, really smart astronomers are going to come out here, set up their telescopes and show us the night sky. All PHS students (and their parents!) are invited to this event. It runs from 8:30 -10:30 pm on Thursday, May 17th at the Izaak Walton League off Willard Rd. You need: clothes to be outside at night, something to sit on, a flashlight with a red light, and a smile. See Ms. Clowe if you have questions.
Attention juniors: Please stop by the counseling office if you are interested in being nominated for the UNC Morehead Cain Scholarship to pick up the nominee questionnaire. We are able to nominate two students. Please note: while candidates for their scholarship are more than welcome to apply to other colleges and universities under Early Action or Regular Decision application plans, candidates are not permitted to apply binding Early Decision to other colleges or universities while under consideration for the Morehead-Cain. Please return the questionnaire to Counseling Office by May 18, 2018 by NOON.
