Promethean Boards are coming to Piney Branch!

 

We are excited to announce that the MCPS technology office will be installing brand new Promethean boards here at Piney Branch this Friday and next Monday! Promethean Boards are interactive whiteboards that have the ability to project a computer screen and the ability to interact with fingers or a pen to control content. The Boards also come with a variety of peripherals, like document cameras, slates, and a learner response system called Activotes and Activexpressions. Promethean Boards, combined with Curriculum 2.0 can change the classroom experience for students. It offers teachers the opportunity to engage students through the technology. Teachers will be participating in many professional development sessions to learn about the boards, the first of which kicks off today! We are excited for this process to begin and can’t wait to show off the boards after spring break!
