Dear Greenwood Parents,

Greetings!

AWESOME APRIL

Our County Council Executive’s Visit: Thanks to Mrs. Wisniewski, fourth grade teacher and Mr. Enceneat, our Choral Music teacher who co-sponsor our Student Government Association and who arranged for Mr. Isaiah Leggett’s visit to Greenwood on April 11th. Mr. Leggett spoke to the children in grades three, four and five about the democratic structure of the constitution and government of the United States of America. He reminded them to think about their future, use their minds to focus and reach for the stars and presented Greenwood with a plaque and the certificates earned by the students during their recent Pennies for the Planet coin drive.

Earth Week: Thanks to our parent sponsors Mrs. Butterfield and Mrs. Tasto and the volunteers that will be joining them, we will again be celebrating Earth Week during the week of April 18th. The children enjoyed many fun experiences that courtyard cleanup, planting flowers, and kite flying and bubble blowing
Thanks also to Mr. Gorogias (parent of Michael) for his donation of mulch which has been used to mulch all of the areas around the school compound.

Spring Fair: The Spring fair was a fun for all as usual. Thanks to Mrs. Leventhal and all of the families who contributed to the raffle baskets and who came out to make the day such an enjoyable one.
