||Lauren Robinson, Guidance Counselor, Grades 4 and 6
Greetings Cheetahs! I am thrilled to be your part-time counselor. I have been a counselor here since 2006. Prior to that, I taught fourth grade for four years and sixth grade for four years. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from West Virginia University and my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, going to the theater/ballet, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family.
Laurie Manfreda, Guidance Counselor, Grades 3 and 5
I am very excited to begin my first year at CCES as your part-time
counselor along with Lauren Robinson. I
grew up in Montgomery County, and I attended elementary, middle, and high
school in the Rockville area. I received
my Bachelor of Education degree from Towson University, and I received my
Master of Education, specializing in Guidance Counseling from Loyola College in
Baltimore. I began working for MCPS in
the year 2000, but I have spent the past four years on extended child care
leave raising my two boys, ages four and two.
Prior to going on leave, I taught third and fourth grade for nine years
in MCPS and fourth grade for seven years in Harford County, Maryland. I am so happy to be here at CCES, where my
father went to school many years ago! I
enjoy running, reading, music, going to the beach, and spending time with my
husband and our two boys. I’m looking
forward to getting to know all of you in the coming year!
