PARCC Testing Schedule

Attached is the PARCC testing schedule.  If possible, please avoid scheduling student's appointments on these days.  

Taste of CCES, Saturday, April 29

Parents, staff members, and friends are invited to celebrate CCES's 100th Birthday at the Taste of CCES Restaurant Crawl on Saturday, April 29!  Tickets are $25 and proceeds will benefit CheetahFest, our 100 Year Celebration, on June 10.  Please read the attached flyer for details.

Draft Day Dash 5K Challenge - April 29th, 10:30AM

Represent our school at this year's Draft Day Dash 5K at Redskins Stadium and our school could win up to a $10K grant and a Redskins player visit!  Signup to join using the special code on the following page.

Fifth grade plays performed at Adventure Theatre, April 24th, 7PM

“Agent 355,” a play written by Mrs. Luster's Block 2 Class, and "Barron von Steuben" written by Ms. Friis' Class, were chosen to be performed by actors at Best Medicine Rep, a local theater company devoted to producing comedies!  Mr. John Morogiello, our artist-in-residence playwright, is the president and artistic director of the company.  Purchase tickets to see these two wonderful plays!

CCES playwrights take Center Stage - May 1st, 7pm

Congratulations to our awesome 6th graders (Jaya Connor, Dominick Anderson, Eva Hauf, Brian Jaegar, Seydou Tounkara, and Kate Jacob) who were selected from over 400 playwrights for their play When Pigs Fly. Their play will be 1 of 6 plays performed professionally at the 2017 Young Playwrights Festival at Baltimore Center Stage on May 1st, at 7PM.  Reserve a free ticket to watch the performance!

1980s Spirit Day coming in April

In celebration of our 100th birthday, CCES will hold a monthly Spirit Day that focuses on a different time period in history each month.  NEXT SPIRIT DAY: Coming in April and celebrating the 1980s.  Stay tuned for more information.
