Did you know...?

The students and their families enrolled at Cashell come from over 40 countries, speak over 20 languages and are from 5 out of 7 continents?

For those of you who don’t know me, I am the English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher. I’ve been teaching at Cashell for 8 years. My allocation has fluctuated between two and a half to four and a half days depending on how many English Language Learners (ELLs) we have each year. This year, I will be working 4 days per week.

The goal of the ESOL program is to enable students to develop language skills that will allow them to access the curriculum, participate as an active member of a classroom setting, and become adjusted to the U.S. culture.

I work with small groups of students on vocabulary, grammar, writing, reading or any subject area that needs attention. I also help with homework or projects they might not be able to complete at home. Please contact me at Elizabeth_T_Love@mcpsmd.org or call (240)740-0560 with any questions.
