    Green Team

    The Cashell Green Team works to reduce waste and increase recycling through education of the community and by advising the school about best practices for keeping our community green. Contacts: Tricia Resnick & John Arthur.


     

    Cashell has been awarded Gold certification from LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Schools! The PTA Green Team is thrilled to be working in such a "green school," and encourages you to go to the U.S.Green Building Council website - http://www.usgbc.org/DisplayPage .aspx?CMSPageID=1586 - to learn more about how being LEED Gold makes Cashell a healthier place for our children. 

    Nominating Committee

    Currently empty, the three person (minimum) Nominating Committee is responsible for identifying people to run for election to the PTA executive board. Nominating Committee members are not themselves eligible for election to the board. If you're interested in helping to form a nominating committee, contact Diane Marie Gray.

    Membership Committee

    Contact: Fatima Almeida, the Membership Committee runs the annual membership drive.

    Programs for Meetings

    Our most awkwardly named committee, Programs For Meetings identifies topics and presentors and marshals resources for the educational portion of our monthly PTA meetings. Contact: OPEN

    NAACP

    The NAACP Liaison maintains communication with the county and state PTA NAACP committees. Contact: Cassandra Carter.

    Volunteers

    The Volunteers Committee keeps a list of people who are available to call on when people are needed to work at events or programs, and keeps track of the hours contributed to the school and PTA. Contact: OPEN.

    Holiday Canned Food Drive

    A volunteer coordinates the Cashell's annual food drive in December. The position is open.

    Holiday Toy & Coat Drive

    New toys and gently used coats are collected by this committee and donated to charity each December.

    The Cashell PTA bylaws have not been digitized, so they are not available online. If you would like to see them, contact Damon Riley. Our bylaws are due to be updated again in 2017.
