  • Pedestrian Safety Week

    Each year over 400 crashes involving pedestrians occur in Montgomery County. A good chunk of this are High-school age students. In the last five years, cars have struck 292 teenage pedestrians in Montgomery County. This is primarily caused by teens being distracted by texting, handheld games, music. phone conversations, and other hazardous activities. That's why we've designated April 23 - 27 as Pedestrian Safety Week. We ask you to join us in this effort by talking to your teen about the dangers of distractions and the importance of using the crosswalks

  • College Decision Day

    May 1 is National College Decision Day for high school seniors around the country. All college bound seniors are invited to come to the amphitheater on May 1 at lunch to have their picture taken.

  • 25TH Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

    SPELLING BEE deals with an annual spelling bee in Putnam County (name your state). The play is rated PG-13 for audiences and is appropriate for middle school students and up. A series of vignettes displays characters looking to win the contest despite obstacles in their personalities as well as their familial backgrounds. The songs help reveal the unique and sometimes weird aspects of the characters as well as how spelling bees might be run. The musical is great fun and is one of the most popular musicals currently being produced in the USA.

  • Contestants Needed-25 TH Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

    An attraction to seeing the show is that audience members may participate as contestants in the Spelling Bee. We will have an “Interview Table” set-up ½-hour before each show to interview potential contestants.

  • Blake Beat Direct Appeal

    The Blake Beat newspaper is provided to students and other members of the Blake community without charge.  While advertisements and the seven fundraisers (tournaments, candle sale, and dine-outs) have defrayed some of costs of publication--$1500 per issue—our newspaper relies on donations made by members of the community in order to keep it in print.

  • Graduation Bus Registration

    DON'T stress about driving or parking on graduation day! Take a luxury, air-conditioned bus to/from Blake instead. The cost is $20 per person (this is not a fundraiser - but a break-even service the PTSA offers to help families)

    Each student who will be graduating from James Hubert Blake High School will be receiving four (4) graduation tickets.  Families may request up to eight (8) additional tickets for graduation, allowing for each graduate to have up to twelve (12) guests at graduation.
