IB and AP Testing Information
- No-Show Fee: Students who are absent for the IB exam will incur a $124 IB testing fee obligation.
- No Internal Assessment Fee: Students who do not turn in a completed Internal Assessment by the teacher deadline will incur a $124 IB testing fee obligation.
- Late Drop Fee: Students who drop the class after January 15, 2026, will incur a $124 IB testing fee obligation. This includes students who are granted abbreviated schedules.

AP Exam Registration and Policies
Students enrolled in an AP class are expected to participate in the corresponding exam.
While the AP exam is free for all students enrolled in an AP course (excluding test only students), please note the following fee-related policies:
- Students who are absent for the AP Exam will incur a $40 AP testing fee obligation for the following reasons:
- Late registrations
- Cancelling an exam
- Rescheduling an exam for the late-testing window
- Being absent the day of the exam
Any student registering for an exam who is not enrolled in the AP Course (Test Only Students) will be charged the 99 dollar exam fee ($90/exam and $9.00 administration fee)
Any student registered in a class who is not planning to take the AP Exam must send an email to Veena_L_Roberson@mcpsmd.org with the reason for opting out PRIOR to November 15th. After November 15th, all exams will be ordered and students will be obligated as detailed above.
