Good afternoon, Viers Mill families! This is Mr. Hawkins, Principal of Viers Mill Elementary School, with our weekly Sunday message.

 

The second marking period ends in a few weeks, and we want to continue to encourage our families to promote strong attendance practices for our students. As a reminder, "chronic absenteeism" is defined as missing 10% or more days of school. After completing 82 days of school so far, any student with over 8 absences would be considered "chronically absent." If your child has over 8 absences, please know that our school staff and I want to collaborate with you to support your child and their attendance.
