SCIENCE OLYMPIAD - The Science Olympiad will be holding its first interest meeting on Wednesday, September 26th, for any students that did not participate last year. On Thursday, September 27, there will be a meeting for 7th and 8th graders that participated last year. Both meetings will be held in A160 after school. See Mr. Atwood in room A160, if you have any questions.
ATTENTION ALL CAST MEMBERS AND POTENTIAL CREW MEMBERS OF CLUE! - Remember that we will be meeting this Friday September 21 after school to watch the original film as a group. Don't forget -- you need a permission form to attend. No permission form, no staying after school. This "rehearsal" ends at 5:30pm. Please make sure your rides pick you up promptly at 5:30pm.
THEATER SAFETY WORKSHOP - remember that the Theater Safety Training Day meeting on Saturday September 22 from 11am-4pm. Cast members are needed from 11am-Noon, Crew will stay for the full time. This training is MANDATORY for all cast and potential crew and is REQUIRED for participation in the production. Crew members should bring a bag lunch.
BOOK WARS - Tilden’s competitive reading team, Book Wars, is getting ready to launch for the year. If you like to read a lot of books and want to help take Tilden to victory, come to the interest meeting during your lunch on September 27th to learn more. We will be meeting in the media center. You can bring your lunch with you! Stop by the media center for more information.
BEST BUDDIES - Attention all students! Would you like to be a part of Tilden's Best Buddies program? If so, join us for an interest meeting this Friday September 21st in the Media Center during MAP 1 to learn more about what we do and how you can join. Make sure you get a signed pass from your first period teacher before you come to the meeting. See you there!
SSL FORMS All Summer SSL forms are due to Mrs. Gabele by Friday, Sept. 28. If you participated in SSL activities over the summer, now is the time to hand in your forms. Make sure you have a supervisor signature, the dates of your activity, a student reflection, and your 6-digit student ID #. You may hand them directly to Mrs. Gabele in D116 or bring them to the front office. Thank you!
STUDENT AMBASSADORS – Student Ambassadors will have their first meeting Tuesday, September 25th after school in the media center. Please be there to be informed of the program.
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS– All students are welcome to come to the Cafeteria and buy breakfast every morning. Tables are reserved in the front by administration. 7th and 8th graders can sit at the tables in the back.
MODEL U.N. CLUB - Interested in debating international issues and getting the chance to go to a conference in Washington, D.C.? Model U.N. will be having an interest meeting during MAP on Friday, September 21st in room A240. Please see Mr. Mann or Mr. Avila if you have any questions.
PTSA FUNDRAISER - Dine-Out at California Tortilla from 5-9pm and Baskin Robbins 4:00-9pm on September 26 at Cabin John Shopping Center. Say, “TILDEN ROCKS” and 20% of the proceeds will be donated back to our school. Hope to see you all there!
COMMUNITY NIGHT - All Community members are invited to Community Night at Walter Johnson High School. The event is Friday, September 21st. Our football team will be playing Kennedy HS in the Walter Johnson HS Stadium at 7:00 p.m. There will be gate prizes, half-time entertainment and a whole lot of community fun! Please join us for the event. Parents must be present with all children 13 and under.
