Anatomy & Physiology

This is an honors-level course for students interested in pursuing the following careers (or simply for students interested in the human body and how it functions):

  • Clinical medicine (physician, radiologist, surgeon, physician's assistant)
  • Forensic medicine (analysis of crime scenes, missing persons, unidentified remains)
  • Nursing
  • Sports medicine
  • Physical therapy
  • Medical research and development (cures for diseases, robotics, prosethetics)
  • Pharmacology
  • Toxicology
  • Emergency medicine and emergency medical technician (EMT)

Anatomy/Physiology is a two-semester course consisting of:

  • Labs
  • Discussions
  • Presentations
  • Possible field trip to the Museum of Health and Medicine
