STEAM Night - Thursday, March 12
An evening of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math at Great Seneca Creek Elementary School! Bring the whole family from 6:30-8:00 PM for a night filled with hands-on activities & interactive experiments.
Kindergarten Registration Open - online -
Children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2026 are eligible. You will need to create a ParentVue account here. After creating an account, you will be prompted to register when you first log in. Families can reach out to the GSCES office at 240-740-4380 to begin the registration process or ask questions. Early entrance to kindergarten and first grade opens on Monday, March 9.
Spring Photos – Wednesday, March 11
To order spring photos, you must return this flyer on Picture Day. Online pre-ordering is NOT available for spring photos – the envelope must be returned on Picture Day. Hard copies of the order form will also be sent home with students. Class group photos will be taken on Picture Day for all students.
Yearbook Cover Contest!
We’re looking for creative, spirited students to design the front and back covers of the 2025–2026 Great Seneca Creek Elementary School Yearbook. Artwork must be created on 8.5 x 11 paper Designs should highlight GSCES spirit and include the GSCES bullfrog. Submit your finished artwork to your classroom teacher. Deadline: April 3, 2026
Spring Book Fair March 9-13 - Volunteers Needed

Be sure to look for the book fair flyer and additional information in your student folders this week! Don’t forget to add an extra $1 or so when sending money with your student or when creating an eWallet to cover the 6% MD sale taxes on purchases.
Update on Recycling Program at GSCES
We have two changes to our recycling program. 1. We will no longer collect plastic bags and film from the Bullfrog community. 2. Our sneaker recycling program has been discontinued due to sourcing issues. Our Green Team students will continue to collect and recycle plastic film waste within our school as well as old markers, glue sticks and bottles, small batteries and old crayons. Please feel free to send these items to school with your child.
