About Our Fifth Grade Teachers

Ms. Toni Dell

I have been teaching at Great Seneca Creek Elementary School for the past 10 years, and I am excited to begin a new chapter this year as a 5th-grade teacher after teaching 3rd grade. I hold a Master’s degree plus 60 credits in Elementary Education, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Outside of school, I am married to my husband, Troy, and we have four children—Alexis, Isaiah, Caleb, and Gillian. We also have a sweet dog named Bentley, who will be turning 3 soon! I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Great Seneca Creek and getting to know my new students and families.

Ms. Germaine Cooley

My name is Germaine Cooley and I am entering my 25th year of teaching. I have been at "the creek" since its opening. While at "the creek" I have taught 2nd, 4th, & 5th grade. When I am not at school I am home with my husband of 21 years Ryan, my 16 year old son Padraig who is learning to how to weld at his high school, and my 14 year old daughter Brighid who can be found at her cheerleading gym. Oh, and I cannot forget about my two dogs Astro and Ralphie. When I am not spending time with my family and friends I enjoy reading and exercising.

Ms. Taylor Lawhorn

Hello! I'm officially Mrs. Lawhorn and I'm so excited for another awesome year at the Creek. I've taught 4th grade for nine years and look forward to all the adventures in 5th grade this year. I earned my bachelor's degree from Salisbury University and master's degrees from WGU. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son Everett, and our two dogs! We love going to baseball games and spending time with friends! I look forward to helping you to all the adventures in 5th Grade!

Ms. Kim Echtencamp

Originally from the Midwest, I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and 3rd–5th grade reading.
