Montgomery County Recreation is proud to offer its RecXtra program to Eastern Middle School students. This is an afterschool program that boasts a variety of clubs and activities to students at no cost to them. We strive to provide participants with the opportunity to discover new skills and talents outside the regular class setting while making new friends along the way.

The Recreation Department collaborates with school faculty and community members to create clubs and activities which are tailored to the interests of the students.  RecXtra has sponsored clubs such as cooking, film, history, sports, STEM, art and dance, as well as distinct clubs like snowboarding, golf and boxing. The club offerings are based on the interests of the sponsors and students.
