A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL EDWARD OWUSU

Clarksburg High School Students, Staff, and Families,

This week teachers will update gradebooks in time for Mid Quarter Interim Progress Reports. Interims will be available in ParentVUE by Friday.

As the Spring weather begins to warm in the coming days and weeks there are a few reminders I would like to highlight for expected behaviors.

  1. All students are expected to be on time and present for class, for the duration of class.
  2. CHS has a student dress code policy. Please see STUDENT DRESS CODE POLICY and adhere to the policy.
  3. CHS is a closed campus, meaning students may not leave campus during lunch unless they are departing school for the rest of the day. Additionally students may not order food for delivery to campus.

Please adhere to our school policies and expected behavior. You may find more detailed information in our CHS Student Handbook.

It was a fantastic week for some Coyotes that competed in regional and state competitions. Thank you to our coaches for your tireless efforts! Congratulations to all of our Winter Athletes that have closed out their season as well as those athletes moving onto Regional and State Competition this week.

Our Spring Sports season begins this week. Schedules for practices this week have been emailed to enrolled athletes and parents. You can find our Spring Schedules in the newsletter. Please reach out to Athletics Specialist Mr. Dalton with any questions.

Seniors and senior families should note that the final date to order cap, gown, and tassel is approaching. Please see the link in the newsletter to order today.

Please continue to use this FORM to report positive COVID-19 cases in students or staff. Any student who tests positive MUST isolate for 5 days. Please see new guidelines from MCPS (Learn more here).

In this newsletter you will find information about the, PTSA Message, SAT School Day and Accuplacer, AP Exam Payments, Summer Rise Internships, MCPS systemwide messages, Information about closings or delays, Winter Sports, Clothing Recycling, college and university visits to CHS, and more.
